In a tough contest where opponent San Diego Mesa took three of the four #1 and #2 singles matches, the Pasadena City College women's badminton team picked up the slack in the middle and lower ladders in defeating the Olympians, 12-9, on Friday at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium. The Lancers took sole possession of first place in the South Coast Conference, moving to 5-0 while Mesa fell to 4-1.

The Pasadena City College women's badminton team improved to 4-0 at the top of the South Coast Conference standings behind a 20-1 win over Compton at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium on Wednesday.

The domination of the South Coast Conference by the Pasadena City College women's badminton team is historic under head coach Jen Ho. In her first nine seasons, she directed seven undefeated SCC championships and a 3-0 record in the pandemic season of 2020.

The Pasadena City College pair of Rhea Zou and Anh Vu Nguyen Tran were state individual doubles runner-up to close out the 3C2A Women's Badminton Championships held May 9-11 at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.
